Design and functionality changes are not included in the price of either website maintenance package.

For clarity, when we perform website maintenance our aim is to ensure that what you currently have in terms of design and functionality remains consistent.

That means that we will perform technical updates to the plugins and technology throughout your website in order for it to remain secure and up to date.

Should we perform an update for security reasons and the functionality or design you have is compromised, we will work on regaining this functionality and design in terms or fixing incompatibility issues and bugs.

DDoS stands for distributed denial-of-service. Essentially this kind of attack is centered around the premise of flooding a website with fake visitors which in turn prevents real visitors and customers from getting onto your website.

Our maintenance and hosting package is set up in a way which prevents these kinds of attacks whilst also letting real visitors and customers to visit your website.

Blacklisted is the term used for when a website is removed from search engines as a possible result for a search query. For instance, if a potential customer types your service into google and your site is blacklisted, you site will not show up on any of the search results pages, meaning you’ve lost a potential customer.

Blacklisting happens for a couple of reasons but by far the biggest reason is due to malware. If a site is riddled with malware due to poor or non-existent website maintenance, search engines blacklist the site is an attempt to protect their users from viruses.

Our professional and premier packages come with blacklist detection as well as malware detection and removal in order to prevent a loss of customers due to this reason.

Of course! If you’ve purchased your domain from a domain registrar then you can transfer it with no problems, free of charge, to benefit from our website maintenance and hosting packages.

If you’ve recently purchased your domain, or received a free one, with a hosting package then you will need to check your minimum contract with your current hosting provider.

If the minimum contract terms has elapsed then you can transfer over with no issues. If you are still within your minimum contract and there is a cost to break the contract then you’ll have to make a decision whether you want to stay or leave your current provider.

Unfortunately the features we provide within our packages are baked into the maintenance and hosting side of the service. For example, some security features fall on the maintenance side whilst others are on the hosting side.

As part of our premier maintenance package, we monitor your website for any broken links.

Simply put a broken link is a link on your website that no longer works, i.e. goes to a location that doesn’t exist. This can occur when a url is changed on your website or if a link to an external site has changed their url.

Within the monthly report you will receive a list of any broken links on your website so you can go in and fix them. This saves hours of time of scouring your website and clicking on every link to see if it works or ruining your customer experience by sending customers to pages that don’t exist.

We can help with that! Additional email accounts can be provided at a small additional cost of £2 per email per month. And this is regardless of which package you choose.

This means that if you don’t require the premier maintenance package but still need extra emails, we can provide extra emails to the professional package at the above cost.

For example, professional package with 15 professional email addresses will be:

£100 + (10 x £0) + (5 x £2) = £110 per month.

The google analytics reports forms part of the monthly report and is included in our premier package.

The report will display the main website stats for the period and their percentage difference from the previous period, giving you a snapshot view of how your website and business is doing.

As an example, some of the main stats included are as follows: total sessions, page view, returning visitors, average time on site, bounce rate and more.

Ecommerce stats can be difficult to follow, understand, and gleam any actionable insights from.

That’s why we’ve included the ecommerce report in the detailed monthly report of the premier package.

Putting the key stats of your online selling into your hands allowing you to see what’s working well in terms of top sales, earners and categories across your site.

You’ll also get a snapshot of your orders, items purchased, sales, refunds and more for the month all in one tidy place.

Backups are snapshots of your website at a current point in time.

Monthly backups consist of taking a snapshot of your site once a month in order to roll back to a functional version of your site should the need arise. Any data gathered between the time of the backup and the current date will unfortunately be lost but your entire site will be safe.

Daily backups are provided in our premier package for the current day and 5 days prior, meaning if something catestrophic has happened to your site during the day we can roll your site back to the version captured in the morning or any of the 5 previous days. This provides you with a valuable extra layer of protection with minimal or no loss of data.

Monthly backups are stored offsite as they are a major fallback measure. If your current site is unrecoverable for whatever reason, a clean version is kept seperate from your website to remove any potential malware from spreading to your backup.

The website performance report is included the detailed monthly report of the premier package, giving you a view of how well your website is performing in terms of speed using the two most used tools: Google pagespeed insights and Yslow.

The speed of your website is important for your customer experience and is also a ranking factor with regards to search engines, especially on mobile.

This report will provide you with the information you need about how your site is performing overall, where it’s slowing down and what’s causing it.
